It’s almost midday now, and so far there have been two alerts in Haifa, heard booms far off, but don’t know any details yet.

Haven’t left the house yet today, but intend to do so later in the afternoon - drives me crazy being shut up at home. (of course I know I shouldn’t go out, but that’s me ……)

Listened a bit to the radio today and heard an interesting explanation from Naassralla, the Hizballa leader, as to why he started shooting the rockets and kidnapped the soldiers. He had heard from “reliable” sources that Israel was intending to attack Lebanon in a couple of months, so in order to prevent the advantage that would give us, if we began first with a surprise attack, he began the fight first! Such a ridiculous explanation, it’s hard to believe that any normal person would or could believe it, not only the Arabs, but the “enlightened” westerners as well, but there are sure to be many who think this is the truth.
