Home Letters To The Editor Be afraid. Very Afraid! A racist black president with power!
Editor:

Call me silly or conspiratorial, but I mentally spliced together the video of a June 2007 speech Obama gave at Hampton University in Virginia and the speech he gave during the campaign in July 2008.

Can you guess what speech that would be?

I’m referring to the 2008 speech in which Obama revealed his heart’s desire: “The Civilian National Security Force, a force just as powerful, just as well equipped as the US military.”

Would I be way out-of-bounds to suggest that the very worst combination imaginable for the Republic would be a private army on an unimaginable scale under the control of a black racist?

Like I said, I’m probably just a wild-haired, conspiracy maniac.  Forget I even mentioned it.

You're just being silly. Right? You surely can't believe this scenario, can you?

It would help unemployment. And instead of being illegal immigrants, Obama could magically transform them into mercenaries!

Hi Sue,

I wish that I was being silly; but, Obama's campaign speech was very specific about the Civilian National Security Force.

The US military, as Obama envisions it, will soon be tasked to "get by" on far less budget; and, the military's role will be vastly changed. Instead of being the folks we count on to kill bad guys and break things, they will be tasked with humanitarian campaigns across the globe.

Obama's private army will be "protecting us." You're not in the market for some "high ground that you can walk on before you buy" in south Louisiana, are you?
