Home Letters To The Editor Letter writer doesn't want a BS form political letter from Congress

For the first time in my lifetime, Congress has passed a law that specifically requires me to pay for abortion coverage through my 2014 healthcare policy, effectively prohibiting my free exercise of religious conviction that abortion is heinously amoral.

Since my wife will never need an abortion, my forced complicity is not only for something unnecessary and directly opposed to our beliefs and efforts, but will undoubtedly provide general funding towards someone else's abortion. I cannot allow this injustice to go unanswered and unresolved.

A grievance with the king that Thomas Jefferson listed in the Declaration of Independence states:

"He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution..."

This is my grievance with the current leader of our nation and the congressional men and women he combined with to draft and pass an unprecedented law foreign to the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

It is a governmental perversion legally, morally, socially, and spiritually.

Consequently, I am not seeking a form letter of justification for an unjustifiable issue of this magnitude.

I am inquiring if you are currently active in a process of eliminating this unconstitutional mandate, and restoring the clear mandate that Congress shall make no such law. Thank you.
