The Conflicts Are Constant Among The Rival Tribes In That Barren Nation.

The Pipeline Will Link Up With The Vast Supplies Of Carbon Resources From Kazakhstan, Krygzstan, Tajikistan,Turkmenistan,Uzbekistan.  Kazakhstan Alone Is Floating On A Ocean Of Crude Oil.  Other Pipe Lines Would Be Built To The West To The Caspian Sea, But They Are Far From A Direct Route To China.  The Afghanistan Pipeline Would Cut Off Thousands Of Miles Of Transport Costs.

Maresca Also Told The Sub-Committee That In Additon To Unocal "Other Big Oil Firms Involved Are, Amoco ( Now Bp ), Exxon, And Penzoil".

Chervon Has Oil Rights In Kazakhstan.  Maresca Emphasized That The Afghan Pipeline, "Cannot Be Constructed" Until The Country Has A Stable Government.

A Pipeline Was The Reason Behind The Russian Invasion Of Afghanistan.  If Built, The Pipeline Would Link Up At A Port In Pakistan On The Indian Ocean Then Transported To China And Others To Supply Their Growing Demand For Oil.

The War Is Costing American Taxpayers Untold Billions A Year But That Is Minor Compared With The Loss Of Human Life, Limbs And Permanent Psychological Problems.
