If the citizen wishes to speak to another member of the Nelson County School Board she will direct that  person to the office on the second floor. If a citizen wishes to speak to a Teacher in the School Board Office on the second floor she will direct the citizen to that office. If the citizen wishes to speak to the elected County Assessor or wishes to speak with the District Court Clerk or the Circuit Court Clerk or wishes to visit the Docket Book Room or wishes to go to the Sheriff's Office she will direct the citizen to those locations.

The fact she is a female rather than a male Clerk means that the whole atmosphere to a citizen entering the Courthouse more warmth than if the person seated at the desk is a male, which would present a more strict business reception to citizens entering the Courthouse.

The Virginia Taxpayers Association of course agrees that persons wishing to enter the District Court or the Circuit Court Courtrooms when the Courts are in progress should go through a regular metal detector to determine if they are carrying a pistol or revolver for the purpose of shooting a Judge, which cannot be tolerated.
