Wayne La Pierre is no dummy. He knew immediately after hearing the horrid news out of CO that the libs/gun haters would use the slayings as a cause celeb.

We may look back over our collective shoulders 18 months from now and recognize Aurora as the turning point in our nation's history, for better or worse. We, the people, will determine the course.

If you want a great example of how negative media bias toward gun ownership is shaping the discussion in the aftermath of the CO tragedy, think about the following for just a minute.

Just LAST WEEK in Ocala, FL, a 71 yo hero stopped two armed, would-be robbers by pulling his pistol and blasting away at them, wounding one of the robbers. Our hero had a lawful, concealed-carry permit for the state of FL. Nobody in the cafe was harmed in any way.

Do you think that ANYBODY in the media would use this recent example to begin a dialogue on the usefulness of an armed citizenry? Are you kidding? The discussion is all "Guns bad, unarmed good."

Six armed citizens rushing that turd in CO could have made a big difference in the casualty rate; and, I really don't give a damn what Eric Holder says to the contrary.

Go sell some guns to the Mexicans, Eric, and shut the hell up! The next time I want to hear your voice is when you're testifying at your treason trial.
