VIRGINIA BEACH - - The Hampton Roads Tea Party will hold a Candlelight Vigil on today from  7:00-8:00 p.m.  in front of Senator Jim Webb’s office at Town Center in Virginia Beach.

It is part of a state wide initiative to protest the Virginia Senator’s votes on the Senate Health Care bill.

“We will bring to light, what they have done in the dark,” says Karen Miner Hurd, the group’s Founder.
“This bill is health care control, not reform.  It is tyranny in every sense of the word.

We will continue to fight for our freedom to choose our healthcare, and to choose who we get our healthcare from. “

The Hampton Roads Tea Party was founded in March 2009.  It is a non-partisan group supporting free market principals, constitutionally limited government, and the founding values of the United States.

The Hampton Roads Tea Party has had over 4500 people attend its rallies and protests in 2009.

The public is invited to join the protest.
