Richmond - - The Capitol police estimated the lobbying crowd to be over 2,400. The gun rally is an annual event, attended by taxpayers, supported by the pro-gun Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) aimed at protecting citizens' rights under the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.  The Tea Party organized the tax rally. Numerous gun bills are slated for legislative consideration during the current General Assembly session.
