North Carolina to Navy – No OLF; Navy to North Carolina – Yeah, Sure - OK, Fine!

North Carolina has passed legislation in an attempt to bar a Naval Outlying Field (OLF). Look, just because Miss North Carolina prevailed and the Tar heels snatched the basketball honors; you think you can start kicking the United States Navy around?
Follow up:

It wasn’t too many years ago, North Carolina was on bended knees wanting Super Hornet squadrons at Cherry Point, which they got. As a matter of fact, they helped stirred up a hornet’s nest (pun intended) when the Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC) was looking at relocating F-18 squadrons at NAS Oceania elsewhere. North Carolina acted just like a “Kotter Kid” with raised hand waving and jumping out of their seat was hollering “Ooh, ooh, ooh, me, me, me, ooh, ooh”.
North Carolina wants all the perks, but none of the pain. OK, fine. First, if the U.S. Government wants to condemn and use land, I would think they can do it irrespective of state legislation and a Governor’s signature. And if the Navy wanted to relocate all the F/A – 18 squadrons at Cherry Point elsewhere, that could be arranged too.
Whazz that? It that Virginia Beach raising its hand waving and jumping out of their seat hollering “Ooh, ooh, ooh, me, me, me, ooh, ooh”?
