Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Newport News, and Hampton each have enthusiastic Taxpayer Alliances. Separately, there are non-partisan Tea Parties. More often than not, the memberships consist of mature seniors who understand the intricate domain of finances and budgets.

Of late there is a new voice on tbe web. One of the burden middle class in their 35 to 45's. Mostly they are homemakers dealing with the financial prospects of furthering pre-college age children educations and maintaining a reasonable household budget. They don't differentiate taxes in the federal, state, and local sense, but envision the complete taxation system as a threat to family well-being. It's difficult for them to understand why are continually asked to make more and more fiscal planning sacrifices when at all levels of government there is lavish spending, waste, and abuse.

A prime example is Vicki McCoy. Vicki in not a blogger but conveys her family message and frustration on You-Tube. From time-to-time Wally World will feature her videos.
