Deeds raise taxes? According to an ad on TV, Sen. Mark Warner says, ". . and Deeds will hold the line on taxes to continue on the economic policies I put in practice as Governor." Right, I believe the man who gave us the single largest tax increase in Virginia history.

This is disgusting. Lies, cheats, and crooks.
They treat us like we are all idiots!

Or, he could be just telling the truth. Afterall, even the radical ideologues who read and post on this and other VNS forums have railed against the same republican leaders at one point or another. They, not Williams, are the reason that the republicans lost the Senate.

Fact is, most republicans know that McDonnell's supposed 19 point plan for Transportation is nothing more than a charade masquerading as a fairy tale. Williams simply has the courage, the knowledge, and the perspective to say so.

Most republicans also know that transportation is a basic function of government, and those who are not yet drooling know our system is in deplorable condition. It just earned a D- from the Virginia Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a group that I am sure Greenmun would call communist.

The point is Wally, you are the one guilty of character assassination. Williams is entitled to his opinion, and frankly, he is absolutely correct on this one. For at some point, even you will admit that our infrastructure is crumbling all around us, and to fail to maintain and sustain our roads and bridges is the antithesis of what a true conservative would do. MJB sends!
