Carrier to Mayport – the rest of the story
Virginia delegation and candidate hopefuls spitting into the wind

The aforementioned personages, mainly speak of cost, lack of money, and “we are broke” as the primary objection and justification. Evidently, the Washington administration doesn’t think so. In the 2011 defense budget, which scratches the C-17, F-22, F-35 alternate engine, a Boeing produced combat system, and Raytheon’s kinetic energy endeavors, it appears that the 2011 numbers could surpass 2010 to the tune of $177 billion.
Considering a billion or so to get Mayport ready for the dispersion concept, it’s small potatoes.
