Kuchta JrVNS Columnist It's been very close to ten years since a crazed, Nigerian foreign student invaded the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, VA, and proceeded to shoot and kill three innocent victims. When the shooting started, three heroes responded. Two had weapons in their vehicles and retrieved them. The third was an ex-marine. Funny thing about folks who snap and decide to commit mass murder. Most have never been in a gunfight. Things change dramatically when someone levels a .357 at you. Most psychotics fold or bite the barrel of their own weapon when they are challenged. The reason that Americans have remained free for over two centuries is that we have the Second Amendment that allows us to protect our family and our home from invasion. Protect that right or live like a cow. "Remember Benghazi and ALL the Traitors!" |

Editor: I'm sure if Scott Rigell ends up with an pro-gun target on his back, he'll be cooked. I knew Scott before he ran for the office and liked him. Believed him to be a solid conservative and supporter of gun rights. But after finding out that he was a financial supporter of Obama, my faith began to get shaky. Hoping aboard Air Force One and sitting on Obama's lap was bad enough but to vote the bastard's gun agenda, I can't forgive him. He tries to excuse his actions as being insignificant, the donation to Obama was to keep Hillary from winning, taking away my rights to to make a private buy or gun sale without reporting it to the government? Rigell has to be nuts. We legal and law-abiding gun owners shouldn't be the target of his anti-gun wrath - the criminals should be. Make it illegal for criminals to buy, sell, trade, possess, or use a gun in the commission of a crime: Oh, that's already the law? Well enforce it. Don't make such useless acts and policies apply to me and add more expense for bureaucrats: I don't break any of the laws. I can't wrap my head around this guy anymore. Bad Brass Women? Yep. A new gun club primarily for women will be formed at a meeting Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Fresh Crust Trattoria at 1060 Lynnhaven Parkway # 104.  Abbott The brains and drive behind the organization is Jessica Paige Abbott, a petit blonde who is also an insurance agent. "This is about empowerment; Bad Brass Women is the real feminist movement," Abbott said. The name of the new organization is Bad Brass Women - A Shooting Club for Ladies. Men will be welcome at the meeting as well. The meeting is free and open to the public. Abbott said about 30-40 people have emailed her they planned to attend. The meeting's agenda, among other things, will discuss establishment of dues, meeting times, dates, election of officers and establishment of committee assignments for future events. Abbott said she wanted an environment where women can feel comfortable with like-minded individuals to discuss and learn about weapons, laws, gun safety, protection of the 2nd Amendment, and practice using their weapons for self protection and protection of their families. "We expect to cover the broad range of issues involved in the purchase and use of weapons for self-protection. "2nd Amendment rights aren't just for men anymore," she said. Abbott is attempting to affiliate with the National Rifle Association, the Virginia Citizens Defense League and other groups who are fighting to protect and expand gun rights for individuals under the 2nd Amendment.
